what I write
—work in progress—
Book 1: The Secret of Smallity
When Otto the skeptic is pulled into Lookbryn through a pinhole, he refuses to believe the place can be real. But its weirdly leafy dwellers set him straight: Real geese are being killed by Brooklyn animal control and they are Lookbryn’s lifeline.
Book 2: Ghost Sister Interviews
Being adopted is no secret. But then Zizzy discovers that, while her brothers found Lookbryn, their mom lost a baby—all of it before adopting Zizzy from Ethiopia. Since she sure doesn’t need any more ghosts (or other worlds), Zizzy asks to know the whole story.
Book 3: Three Charlottes
In 1862 Charlotte, daughter of Frederick Law Olmsted, befriends a girl left homeless by Olmsted’s plans for Central Park. The two friends create a species—literally and from scratch!—that’s an improvement over humans but also needs a hidden habitat.
Book 4: Ziz
Eleven at last and Zizzy is dealing with a billionaire. This man with his endless park and city views is willing to destroy what he can’t own. That would be the pinholes into long ago and all they offer and protect.
